Holly Forman-Patel is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
She utilized her skills as a therapist and program director working with children in school environments and in community mental health settings while simultaneously growing her private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area. She recently relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she continues her private practice via telehealth, supporting clients in dual geographies.
Holly specializes in working with children and teens, along with adults, primarily around trauma and anxiety. Holly has published two workbooks on anger management for children and teens.
In her work, Holly utilizes multiple modalities with a primary emphasis on EMDR Therapy. She was first trained in EMDR Therapy in 2012 and moved forward to certification and then to Approved Consultant. She is currently an EMDR Trainer with EMDR Professional Training. She has presented various advanced trainings in EMDR Therapy, and in 2021 she joined the EMDR International Association’s (EMDRIA) Board of Directors. Additionally, she provides the needed hours for EMDR certification and EMDR approved consulting for trained EMDR therapists.

I remember how excited I was when I first trained in EMDR therapy. I noticed excitement to use it with my adult clients but then a hesitation when thinking about using it with kiddos! I have talked with many other EMDR therapists, and they have shared having a similar experience.
My goal for this training is to provide you with the necessary information to feel confident in either beginning to use it with your child clients or in continuing to use it. This overview includes methodology, the 8 phases, 3 prongs, and common stuck points. This four-hour training will focus on learning how to tailor the 8 phases of EMDR Therapy to fit the developmental level of child clients, along with addressing special populations and common mistakes and stuck points.
This training is appropriate for all mental health professionals who have been trained in EMDR Therapy through an EMDRIA approved basic training. The course comes with 4 EMDRIA credits. Licensure CE’s can be purchased for an additional $30. Before purchasing license CE’s, please ensure that it meets your state or professional licensure requirements. Licensing regulations vary by state, and it is the participant's responsibility to confirm course approval.
This training is specifically designed to be simple and provide you with the most concise and important information, presented in a way that is easy to learn. This training is meant to enable you to build your confidence using EMDR Therapy with your child clients.

This live training via Zoom is for fully trained EMDR Therapy clinicians who want to learn how to begin to utilize EMDR Therapy with children. This four-hour training will focus on learning how to tailor the 8 phases of EMDR Therapy to fit the developmental level of child clients, along with addressing special populations and common mistakes and stuck points.

Participants will leave the training with the ability to:
1. Explain how the 8 Phases of EMDR Therapy are applied to work with children
2. Identify 3 strategies for client readiness as it applies to children
3. Identify 3 techniques to utilize Resource Development and Installation
4. Describe skills to utilize when reprocessing becomes stuck or blocked with children

Cancellations/refunds:
No refund for cancellations is provided. If a registrant is unable to attend the training their registration will be moved to complete the on-demand version of the training. The on-demand version currently is not approved for CE's.
In the event that Holly Forman-Patel is forced to cancel the training, a new training date will be offered. Any registrant who is unable to make the new date will receive a full refund.

Eligibility
This course is considered an advanced course for EMDR therapy clinicians. Before enrolling in this course, participants should successfully complete an EMDRIA approved EMDR Basic Training program.
